Spectrum Integrated Technologies (SpectrumIT) is the low-voltage division of J & M Brown Company Inc., based in Dedham, MA. An industry leader in the design, installation, and service of security systems and tel/data systems for prominent companies and property managers throughout Greater Boston, Spectrum has a 30-year track record of successfully completing diverse and demanding security and communications projects, ranging from new ground-up high-rise construction to multi-floor and single floor security and tel/data projects.

From ground-up high-rise new construction to single and multi-floor tel/data and security system solutions, our team provides a full suite of services, including budgeting, designing, estimating, CAD, project management, and expert installation. Additionally, our fleet of service vehicles allows us to respond to emergencies 24-7.
Spectrum IT installations adhere to the National Electrical Code and state and local codes, while at the same time meeting or exceeding EIA/TIA and BICSI standards.

Spectrum’s crew of certified technicians is the most experienced and best-trained in the industry. Each technician has completed the most comprehensive, rigorous apprenticeship training in the telecom industry. The five-year JATC Greater Boston Telecommunications Training Program consists of 1,000 hours of on-the-job training and 900+ hours of related classroom instruction, covering all aspects of low-voltage design and installation, including: structured cabling systems, pathways & spaces, grounding, security, card access, fire alarm, computers and network training, bonding, administration, and outside plant facilities. All Spectrum technicians have a System class “D” License, obtained through the Commonwealth of Mass. Division of Professional Licensure, Board of State Electrical Examiners.
