Fiber Optic Networks

We’ve installed hundreds of local fiber optic systems in the Boston area and are wholly sufficient in planning, designing, integrating and installing fiber cable.

Most business LANS use fiber backbones. The reason being fiber optic cable carries much more information over longer distances than conventional copper wire (Cat6/6A), plus signals are not affected by electromagnetic interference. As such, in most installations we do use a fiber optic backbone with copper wire from the closets to offices/desks. As data needs increase, it is becoming more popular to run fiber throughout the office.
